San Diego fire update

Submitted by Peter Toner on Thursday, 25 October 2007No Comment

Air quality here in San Diego is still an issue and there are homes still in danger, but it would seem that the worst is over – according to news reports this morning.

Here is a link to the latest map of the fires very detailed in PDF format – the host website, set up by San Diego County officials is the place to go for accurate information:

The fortitude, resilience and courage of County residents continue to amaze us, with an estimate of over $1 billion in damage and over half a million evacuated - it’s amazing how few were physically hurt.

The community rallied to support those who have been affected, a testament to the true spirit of San Diegans.
