San Diego Home Buyers Start Your Engines

A recent Forbes.com article discussed the current activity in real estate markets, not only in San Diego, but across the country. Yes the trend we’ve all heard seems to hold true for
most markets, median home prices are down. What is being seen that’s different from previous months in 2008 is that home sales are creeping up and in some areas more quickly than others!

What’s increasing this jump in sales is the large amount of “motivated” sellers in the market. Many sellers are either in distress, foreclosure or bank owned, each of which has their own motivations to sell, and to sell quickly. This urgency to sell has lowered the median home price and has enticed buyers off the fence to take advantage of a more “affordable” market. View the full article on Forbes.com.
