This Saturday October 11th is another Surfrider Foundation bi-monthly beach clean up program! Join Surfrider and other volunteers in their efforts to keep the beaches of San Diego clean and safe!
In San Diego County Surfrider meets on the second Saturday of each month to clean up at a North County San Diego beach and on the fourth Saturday of each month at a South County San Diego Beach location. Surfrider provides all the essentials for the beach clean up – gloves, garbage bags, hand sanitizer etc. All are welcome to participate and no pre-registration is necessary (unless you plan to be with a group of 25 or more).
The organization just asks that you sign a liability waiver and that all volunteers under 18 have a parent or guardian with them. It’s that simple and the cleanups usually only last about 2 hours! We all talk about the beaches and keeping them clean, now its time for us to do something about it!
